We have the coolest friends in the world. Below are some of the incredibly talented people that we love, and get to work with everyday.
Hal Beckett lives music. The Emmy-nominated composer and conductor has, over 30 years, established himself as one of Western Canada’s most respected composers and music specialists. In his varied career he has composed music for film, television, animation, operatic and symphonic ensembles, dance productions, multimedia projects, and even an aircraft unveiling; conducted the string ensemble on Bryan Adams’ album “11”, Mariana’s Trench’s albums “Ever After” and “Astoria”; provided orchestral services for Michael Bublé’s hit album “Crazy Love”, conducted an album of operatic arias with soprano Ariel Sung, conducted film scores for Universal, Lionsgate, and 20th Century Fox, composed commissions for the Victoria Symphony, Kamloops Symphony, and Vancouver Chamber Choir, and produced 102 national anthems for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, performed by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
Hal also holds the position of Music Director with the Vancouver Film Orchestra, contracting and producing film scoring sessions for clients including Disney, Miramax, Gold Circle Films, ABC Television, Infinity Features, and Brightlight Pictures.
Vince is a freelance recording engineer with over 30 years of experience in music recording and mixing, audio post production, equipment installation and maintenance, remote recordings, and sound reinforcement.
Recent projects include Dialogue Supervisor/Re-Recording mixer for Neill Blomkamp's 2015 feature film 'Chappie', and 2013 feature film 'Elysium', mixing the scores for Peter Jackson's 2009 sci-fi blockbuster 'District 9', Gold Circle's horror hit 'The Haunting In Connnecticut', and also all 102 national anthems for the 2010 Winter Olympics, recorded with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
Steve Smith is a multi-platinum songwriter, producer, and mix engineer who specializes in modern pop and hip-hop. He has worked with artists like Smashmouth, and Loverboy, and has done work for Universal, Sony, Atlanctic, Warner, and Capitol/EMI Records.
We love getting mixes from Steve. Not only is he a top-shelf mixer, but he's a great guy, and a joy to work with. He comes with a strong vision, and only wants what's best for the artist and their music.
Chin Injeti is a 3x Grammy and 2x Juno Award winning singer, musician, and producer, whose credits include Eminem, Drake, Aloe Blacc, Dr. Dre, Pink, J Cole, Anderson Paak and Joey Bada$$.
The level of musicality in his productions is astonishing, and it's easy to hear how deeply he cares about his art.
Steve is a 7-time Juno award-winning musician and producer who has worked on hundreds of acclaimed recordings as a musician, producer, and engineer.
While living for most of his career in Vancouver, he toured with and produced records for artists like Jim Byrnes, Deep Dark Woods, Old Man Luedecke, Zubot and Dawson, Kelly Joe Phelps, Jenny Whiteley, and many more while playing guitar on over 100 records.
7 years ago, he relocated to Nashville, where he owns and operates The Henhouse Studio.
Steve has also performed as a session musician and sideman onstage and in the studio for artists as diverse as Alvin Youngblood Hart, John Hammond, David Hidalgo, The McCrary Sisters, Matt Andersen, Sonny Landreth, Stephen Fearing, Van Dyke Parks, Jill Barber, Bruce Cockburn, Big Dave McLean, Colin James, and many more.
Recently, Steve has spent a good deal of time on the road touring with Birds of Chicago and Matt Andersen, while maintaining a busy schedule as a producer and studio musician.
Steve plays a wide array of acoustic and electric guitars, banjo, dobro, pedal steel and more.
