Andrew Downton is a 2x Juno nominated mastering engineer, and owner of Railtown Mastering.
While most days are spent mastering music from a wide array of genres, Andrew continues to work as a recording engineer for the Vancouver Film Orchestra, and on hi-res world music releases for Seattle based record label Muxia Music.
Andrew has worked on projects for Disney, Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers, Apple, Dreamworks, and Coca-Cola.
Stuart McKillop has been mastering records since 2001. He started his career at Rec-Age Recorders in Vancouver with producer Jesse Gander. The pair moved on to join The Hive Studios with owner Colin Stewart in 2004. Since then Stuart has spent his years producing, recording, mixing and mastering much of the local Vancouver music scene, as well as numerous international artists. In 2011 Stuart opened Rain City Recorders, Vancouver’s busiest studio for alternative music.
In 2019 Stuart has shifted his focus from recording and producing to mastering.
Roger Monk is a Grammy and Juno Award winning recording engineer with 50 years of experience in the industry.
He was chief engineer at Little Mountain Sound for 18 years, and has been involved in the production of dozens of motion picture scores, countless television movies, and album projects for artists like The Tragically Hip, AC/DC, Mötley Crüe, and Michael Bublé.
Roger owns Dick & Roger's Sound Studio in Gastown, which is the facility Railtown Mastering proudly calls home. He is available for recording, mixing, and select mastering projects.
Sean Kozak is the technical engineer at Dick & Roger's Sound Studio and Railtown Mastering. He oversees facility and studio maintenance, and the design and integration of new systems.
Before moving to Vancouver and joining the team at D&R, Sean spent 8 years working as a technical support engineer for AMS Neve.
