Railtown Mastering is located on the border of Gastown and Railtown, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We are situated on the corner of Main and Alexander, one block from the waterfront. The studio was designed and built by Fred Gilpin and William Barker of FGA Acoustics, mastering engineer and owner Andrew Downton, and architect/designer Brooke Dedrick.

Much of our equipment has been custom built, or modified in pursuit of sonic betterment, and absolute transparency in playback.

The studio is located within Dick & Roger's Sound Studio Ltd;  a staple in the audio post-production industry in Vancouver for over 25 years.  There is a Dolby Atmos mix theatre, a 5.1 mix theatre, four edit suites, and a Neve record room on-site.
